New Survey: What Parents Want From AI in Education

MathWill surveyed parents, teachers, and students around the world to understand how families actually want AI used in math education. Here's what we found.

English

Why we ran this survey

MathWill was founded by a group of parents, and we believe we understand what we do. But we also recognize that our own perspective is limited. So we invested significant time in extensive research to gather insights from a broader range of parents, teachers, and students across the globe.

Our methodology

  • Personal contacts and honest responses from friends, acquaintances, and friends of friends
  • Absolutely voluntary participation
  • Gender, race, and age diversity
  • Geographic and language diversity

Parents and teachers discussing AI in education

What we found

  • 97% of parents say AI should always work alongside a real teacher, not replace one
  • 81% want AI used for self-practice, not just answers
  • 74% want AI to follow a plan a human teacher has already set
  • 90% of parents want visibility into what their kid is doing with it
