How the map is used in real lessons
When a student solves a task, DASANA looks at more than the final answer. We match each step to a map of math ideas: which ideas a topic builds on, and the mistakes students often make. This shows what really caused the trouble: an earlier idea that is missing, steps done in the wrong order, or a topic the student only half understands. From that, MathWill picks the best next step for that student: a short explanation, a smaller set of practice tasks or a review of an earlier topic. As the student keeps learning, the map keeps updating, so the next steps fit the student better and better.
We run this together with Partenit, DASANA's technology partner, so the map stays correct and works well in real classes.
